THE weather last week has been unsettled with gales and rain but possibly from Friday and into the weekend it will be coming hot again.

Sadly over the last few days, three local people with harbour connections have passed away.

Roger Spurrel, from Boathouse, Elizabeth Carne, a former Grand Bard of Cornwall and a member of RNLI ladies committee, and Chas Law, from Hotel Victoria who had a connection with RNLI and Newquay Rowing Club. Thoughts with all the families.

One more gig still to come back from the Scillies.

This Sunday is the annual CHSW charity gig race will be held from 2pm.

Still several Octopus being caught inshore . No band this Saturday at Rowing Club.
