PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.

UPTON CROSS: The B3254 between Port Lane and Tremabe Lane in Upton Cross is set for a closure from June 24 to June 26.

The closure will be in place on those dates between the hours of 7pm and 7am and is necessary in order for manhole frame and covers to be replaced.

The road affected is the B3254 between Port Lane and Tremabe Lane, Upton Cross between the junction providing access to Algarde and New House and the property known as 1 Darley Lodge.

PADSTOW: Treyarnon Lane in Padstow is set for an overnight closure between June 22 and June 26.

It is set to be closed between 7pm and 7am for water disconnection works to take place and the portion of the road affected is between the properties known as Trewarne and Trebrumble.

Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

NEWQUAY: St George’s Road in Newquay is set to be closed overnight between June 23 and June 25.

The portion of the road closed is between property numbers 29 and 33 on St George’s Road between the hours of 6.30pm until 7am and is necessary in order for repairs to a defective reinstatement to take place by contractors on behalf of South West Water.

BODMIN: The road from Bodmin Road to Back Lane, near Bodmin is set to be closed between July 6 and August 14 in order to facilitate the replacement of gas mains to take place.

The closure will be in place for 24 hours a day during the specified dates and the entire length of the road will be closed. Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties.

NEWQUAY: Ulalia Road in Newquay is set for a ban on stopping during the dates of July 6 and October 2 between the hours of 7am until 5pm.

It will cover the stretch of the road from the junction with Narrowcliff to the junction with Hilgrove Road with enforcement in the form of parking charge notices.
