A NEWQUAY fast food outlet has been given the green light to open 24 hours a day.
McDonald’s in Treloggan Road has received approval from Cornwall Council after seeking confirmation that the proposed trading operation of 24 hours a day of the site is lawful.
The restaurant currently opens between 5am and 12am.
Cornwall Council’s decision notice stated: “The original planning permission granting consent for the construction of the restaurant dated June 4 1997 did not include any conditions which restricted the operational hours of the restaurant.
“As such, it is concluded that the restaurant could be operated on a 24 hour basis. In light of this the certificate is lawfully granted.”
