SINGING sensation Olly Murs is heading back on the road to perform for his Cornish fans.

The chart-topping pop star will be headlining Tunes in the Dunes in Perranporth on Friday, June 11.

The gig will be the only stop of his eight-date summer run, which will see him perform some of his top hits since rising to fame on the X Factor in 2009.

Speaking of the run Olly said “I’ve loved having a year at home, but I’ve got itchy feet now.

“I’m ready to get out of the house, back on the road and back where I belong, which is on stage. Next summer I’m bringing the tunes, the energy and a proper party across the country.”

Over his decorated 15 plus year career, Olly Murs has achieved five UK number-one albums, sold more than two million tour tickets, and built a massive following across the entertainment industry.

His extensive catalogue includes signature chart-topping pop anthems like Heart Skips a Beat and Dance with Me Tonight, which is his biggest-selling and most-streamed overall single in the UK. He achieved the most international recognition with his massive hit single Troublemaker featuring Flo Rida.

Beyond singing, he spent six years as a popular coach on The Voice UK, co-presented The X Factor, and currently works as a presenter on Heart Breakfast.

It was third time lucky for Olly performing live in Cornwall when he headlined the main stage at the Hootenanny Fayre in St Germans, Saltash on June 20 of last year.

The 42-year previously had to cancel his performance at Live in the Wyldes near Bude on July 1, 2022 due to “unavoidable major knee surgery.

Olly’s scheduled gig at Live in the Wyldes in July 2021 also had to be cancelled due to the covid pandemic.
