A TRURO pub is set to host its first three-day beer festival in October. The County Arms in Highertown will host the event in a festival marquee in its outdoor area, showcasing nine beers from some of the region's most exciting breweries, alongside ciders, live music, food and family-friendly activities.

The festival opens from 4pm on Friday, October 2 with entertainment culminating in a Through the Eras DJ set. Saturday promises a full day of live music, festival food and new beers, while Sunday will offer sea shanties, community fundraising and a charity raffle.

Weekend tickets cost £20 and include entry across all three days, a reusable festival cup and either three pints or six half pints from the festival beer selection. Day tickets are also available, through www.designmynight.com, with 10 per cent of the ticket price donated to the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust.
