THE Redbills, with support from Esya Collective, will be performing at the Acorn Theatre in Penzance on Sunday, October 26.

The Redbills have rapidly established themselves in West Cornwall playing unique acoustic country soul classics and originals.

On guitar and vocals, Barry Hunt is vastly experienced in playing many genres including country, folk-rock and blues and has been writing songs for many years.

On bass is the legendary Tim “The Vulch” Chapple, a leading player in the West Cornwall music scene since the late 1970s. Peolpe may recognise him from bands like Devils Creek, The Electric Timothy, Blacktop Deluxe, The Skatalites and more.

On drums is Thomas Idris Jackson, a highly regarded and extremely talented drummer straddling many genres from Prog Rock with The Emerald Dawn to jazz with Spyralz.

On vocals and acoustic guitar is Andy Milsom, a singer-songwriter with a country rock, soul and funk background. He is a featured artist on the recent Voices For Cornwall “En-Sol” album.

The Redbills play an interesting mix of laid-back classics, lesser-known covers and some great original material and have been rapidly building a reputation as the most exciting new band in the area.

This promises to be a very special hometown gig.

Supporting the band on the night is Esya Collective. Based in Penzance, Esya Collective is an indie folk vocal group that capture the warmth and intimacy of singing in front rooms with cups of tea in hand.

Their sound combines rich harmonies and acoustic instrumentation, creating an atmosphere that feels both personal and inviting.

Blending elements of folk and indie, Esya Collective craft heartfelt performances that transport listeners to cozy, intimate spaces where music and connection flourish.
