PETROLHEADS will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of vehicles from the 1920s to the 2020s across the city centre when Truro Classic Car Show returns for its third year on Sunday [July 6].

Marques including Morris, Jaguar, Mercedes, Triumph, Porsche, MG and Ford will be on display on Lemon Quay, Lemon Street and Boscawen Street, as well as motorcycles on Pydar Street and automobilia and autojumble stalls.

There will also be a small selection of new cars on show from local dealers including Vospers, Hawkins Motor Group and Parklands Toyota.

Sam Lovegrove, a well-known figure in the world of automotive bargain hunting and from the TV shows Find It, Fix It, Drive It and Shed and Buried, will be in attendance with a classic car, ready to meet visitors and exhibitors.

The event will take place from 10.30am until 3.30pm. Truro Park and Ride will operate a special Sunday shuttle bus service from its Tregurra site to the city centre to Quay Street, running every 15 minutes from 9.30am to 11.45am and from 1.45pm to 4.30pm, and every 20 minutes from 12.05pm and 1.25pm.

Buses back to Tregurra Park and Ride will leave Quay Street every 15 to 20 minutes throughout the day with the last service departing at 4.40pm. Day tickets can be purchased via the First Bus App or from the driver on the day. Multi-day tickets and PLUSBUS tickets are also valid.

The Truro Classic Car Show is brought to the city by Truro BID and sponsored by Coodes Solicitors, with fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support on the day.

Truro BID manager Alun Jones said: “Truro Classic Car Show will be a great opportunity for car enthusiasts, and the event will also help increase footfall into the city and benefit many of our resident businesses.”
