A Newquay father’s dream has came true after winning an electric car and cash prize worth more than £38,000.
Andrzej Pajaczkowski has scooped a Cupra Born V1 worth £36,475 after becoming a Midweek Lifestyle Competition winner with online competition firm BOTB.
The 47-year-old also discovered his prize included £2,000.
The father of one had been playing the competition for around four years in the hope he would win his dream car.
Andrzej had just happened to watch the popular Christmas movie Home Alone which helped him answer the question – “in the movie where is the family going on holiday?” – to win the competition.
He was surprised by BOTB’s Christian Williams who video called him to tell him he was a winner.
Andrzej said: “I couldn’t say a word, I just froze when I found out. It was a complete shock.
“My partner was crying and my daughter was just really happy.
“I have been playing for about three or four years and have dreamt about winning an electric car, so I am obviously delighted my dream has come true.”
Andrzej said he plans to use his cash prize on a short holiday or to pay for extras on the car. Christian said: “I am delighted to give Andrzej the best start to 2023.
“I would have been pretty happy to get this call for sure.
“I am sure he will enjoy the car and spending the cash prize.”
BOTB hands over the keys to a dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.
Winners have bagged Rolex watches, holidays and motorbikes in recent months.
The company, listed on the stock market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £48m-worth of cars so far.
