ARTISTS are being invited to help bring a Newquay festival’s art trail to life.
The Nansledan Arts Festival is calling on artists to submit pieces to their art trail.
The art trail is a community exhibition where works of art of all kinds can be exhibited for free.
The arts festival will have a Fiesta theme and is being staged at various venues between June 14 and 20.
Liz Hutchinson from the festival said: “The location for the art trail is all over Nansledan, in the windows of businesses, private house windows, the community room and literally anywhere where there is space and permission from the venue.
“In the past two years that the festival has been running it has been very popular, and many artists have sold their work too.
“The festival encourages complete novices as well as more experienced artists.
“So why not enter your work of art? It could be a painting, a drawing or a 3D work, in any medium.”
Nansledan Arts Festival will include workshops, competitions, a circus performance, comedy, music as well as the arts trail.
The event will finish with renowned folk-Americana international band Track Dogs performing at St Michael’s Church on June 20.
Liz added: “The festival was launched just three years ago and is going from strength to strength.
“Track Dogs are known for their sunshiny songs and irresistible rhythms. They dabble in various genres including folk, bluegrass, Americana and blues.
“Their music and the Nansledan Arts Festival will have something for everyone to enjoy and celebrate.
“Tickets are on sale now.”
The art trail will be exhibited during the festival. The closing date for entries is May 1.
