CORNWALL Gold was a hive of activity on Bank Holiday Monday (May 26) as the annual Golden Duck Race made a triumphant return, in partnership with Redruth Rotary Club.
The event attracted over 1,000 visitors, all eager to see 1,300 golden ducks take to the waters of Tolgus Stream — all for a good cause.
The free-to-attend family day out was full of fun, featuring live performances from the Camborne Town Band, a charity raffle, and a joyful community spirit. At £2 per duck, the race raised nearly £3,000 for local charities, helping support those most in need across the region.
Mike Taylor, managing director of Cornwall Gold, explained: “The Duck Race has become a cherished tradition at Cornwall Gold.
“While we’re proud to host the event, it’s the Redruth Rotary Club who truly make it happen through their tireless dedication and hard work.
“Drawing a crowd of over 1,000 people, our team made sure every guest had a great experience — and the feedback has been fantastic.”
