REHEARSALS are underway for Flushing Pantomime Group’s 2025 production – The Parrots of Penzance.

The play tells the story of Edmundo and Consuela, two giant Peruvian parrots shipwrecked off Lands End and their quest to get home, avoiding all the dubious characters who have other plans for them.

Director Sue Lightfoot said: “We’ve always gone down the traditional panto script route but this is the 40th year of Flushing panto, and we really wanted to try something different. You can expect the usual panto frolics with some Cornish characters and pasties thrown in!”

The group will be performing from February 11-15 at Flushing Church Hall. Tickets are now on sale from Flushing Village Stores. Money raised goes to Flushing Primary School.
