A CHORAL group from Newquay is holding its annual spring concert on Saturday (April 18).
Newquay Singers will be staging the free event at St Michael’s Church at 7pm.
The singing group will perform an eclectic mix of music with a selection from Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Faure’s Requiem and Les Miserables.
Newquay Singers will be joined by Anna Burford-Magor, an internationally renowned mezzo-soprano who hails from a well-known family of singers in Newquay.
Janice Swanson from Newquay Singers said: “As well as some solo pieces Anna will join us in reprising the Les Miserables Medley, which is becoming a firm favourite.
“Lighter pieces will include Fields of Gold, Umoja, The Social Madrigal and a very amusing little number, Sing A Song of Sixpence in the style of Handel.”
