THE car park at Newquay Railway Station will be closed for a week whilst improvement works as part of the Mid Cornwall Metro.
Cormac, in partnership with Great Western Railway, will be installing dropped kerbs for accessibility, replacement bollards, electrical ducting as well as a full resurfacing of the car park with new road markings.
The car park will be open for the majority of the enhancements but is earmarked to shut for around a week from Monday, May 11.
Cormac said: "We appreciate the closure may cause some inconvenience and would like to thank station users, local residents and businesses for their understanding while these important upgrades are carried out."
Mid Cornwall Metro will deliver an hourly coast-to-coast rail service between Newquay, Par, St Austell, Truro, Penryn and Falmouth.
