A CAMPAIGNER from Newquay has called for defibrillators to be put into old disused phone boxes.

Milla Magee would like to see more of the lifesaving devices readily available for communities to use.

The call follows the Miss England 2024 winner founding the life-saving initiative #GoFarWithCPR.

Her campaign focuses on providing CPR training and automated external defibrillator (AED) education to young people in schools and workplaces across the UK.

Milla is actively petitioning the UK government to make CPR and basic first aid a compulsory part of the national school curriculum.

The qualified lifeguard visits schools and community halls to demonstrate life-saving techniques, including how to use a defibrillator.

She has recently been out and about finding defibrillators in the local villages around Cornwall as part of her campaign.
