Amelia Blackwell will be bringing out A Crime Through Time on Thursday, July 10.

A Crime Through Time ( )

The story reimagines Georgiana Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice as an amateur sleuth solving mysteries across various time periods.

It takes the reader on a thrilling journey to the past, exploring the golden age of Hollywood on the film set of Sense and Sensibility.

Amelia was inspired to write the books as Georgiana does not have a single line of dialogue in Pride and Prejudice.

She said: “This seems a great shame. Georgiana is useful to the narrative as she gives Mr Darcy a reason to hate Wickham since Wickham tried to seduce Georgiana and elope with her.

“She also enables the reader and Elizabeth Bennet to see Mr Darcy as a caring big brother, but I wanted to dig further into Georgiana’s psyche, and this timeslip cosy crime adventure was an extremely fun vehicle for that.”
