A WOMAN was trapped inside her car after being involved in a three-vehicle collision near Newquay on Tuesday morning (September 9).

Two cars and a van collided near White Acres Holiday Park at about 8.40am, which closed the road in both directions.

Emergency services including the police, fire service and ambulance attended the scene. The woman’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

The A392 was re-opened in both directions shortly after 5pm following accident investigators completing their work and the vehicles being recovered.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 8.40am on Tuesday, September 9 following a three-vehicle collision on the A392 at Whitecross, Newquay.

"The collision, involving two cars and a van, happened near White Acres Holiday Park. Ambulance and fire are also on scene.

"One woman was reportedly trapped in her car. The road was closed in both directions."
