A TEENAGER riding an electric bike sustained serious injuries after colliding with a car near Redruth on Monday, April 13.

The rider of the e- bike, a boy in his early teens, was taken to hospital with injuries described as potentially life changing following the incident involving a Peugeot 207, which happened on the old A30 at Blackwater at about 7.20pm.

No other injuries were reported.

Police and ambulance attended the scene, and the road was closed whilst an investigation took place. It reopened around 9.05pm.

A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a serious road traffic collision near Redruth and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to a collision, which involved a Peugeot 207 and an e-bike.”
