A MAN sustained a head injury after two vehicles collided on a road near Cornwall Airport Newquay on Thursday morning (September 10).

The road traffic collision happened at Carnanton Road on the A3059 shortly before 7.40am.

The road was blocked following the incident, which was attended by emergency services. The head injury is not thought to be serious. Recovery of the vehicles involved has been organised.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ""We were called at 7.40am on Thursday, September 10 following a report of a two-vehicle collision at Carnanton Road near Cornwall Airport Newquay.

"The road was blocked as a result. One man has sustained a head injury, which is not believed to be serious.

"Recovery has since been arranged."
