A MAN has been charged following an alleged incident involving a corrosive substance in Blackwater near Truro.

Ruel Johnson-Rosedom, 22, from London, has been charged with two counts of throwing, casting a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure, or do grievous bodily harm against two local women. He has further been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Johnson-Rosedom appeared before Bodmin Magistrates’ Court last week and was granted court bail. He is due to appear at Truro Crown Court on Friday, January 16.

The alleged incident took place on the evening of Monday, December 15. The two reported victims in the case did not suffer any life-changing injuries.
