EMERGENCY services have carried out a major search for a missing woman along the Newquay coastline.
Newquay and Padstow lifeboats, the police, Coastguard rescue teams from Newquay and Padstow as well as the Newquay Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 924 attended the incident at Polly Joke after several of the woman’s belongings was discovered on cliffs on Friday, May 1 at 7.45pm.
An extensive land, sea and air search was carried out between Kelsey Head and Mawgan Porth.

The search was postponed in the early hours but resumed the next morning shortly before 10.30am.
Newquay and St Agnes Coastguard teams were among the emergency services retasked to the search.
An intensive search was carried between East Pentire and Kelsey Head but was later postponed pending further enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard and the RNLI lifeboat have conducted extensive land and sea searches alongside police officers and the police helicopter. The woman has not yet been found.”
Police are continuing efforts to locate the woman and are providing support to her family.
