POLICE have been given more time to question four men arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a man’s body at a Liskeard property.

Detectives sought warrants of further detention for all four suspects as the investigation into the death continues.

Devon and Cornwall Police launched a murder investigation after a man was found dead inside a property in Baytree Hill shortly before 9.30pm on Sunday, September 13.

A local man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

Three further arrests were subsequently made.

They are two local men aged in their 40s and 50s, along with a man in his 20s from Plymouth.

All four remain in police custody while detectives continue their inquiries.

The investigation has seen a significant police presence in Liskeard, with parts of the town centre cordoned off while specialist officers examine sites linked to the incident.

Police believe the victim was a man in his 50s from Liskeard, although formal identification has not yet taken place.

Detectives are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
