A BEACH in Newquay was closed to allow emergency services help a casualty on Friday morning.
Cornwall Air Ambulance, Newquay RNLI Lifeboats, Newquay and St Agnes Coastguard teams, the police and ambulance service were tasked to the incident on Towan Beach at 7.50am.

The beach was temporarily closed to the public.
The Newquay Coastguard team and the lifeboat crew assisted with treatment whilst St Agnes team established a secure landing zone for the Cornwall Air Ambulance on the Barrowfields. The casualty was transferred to the air ambulance and onwards for treatment.
A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard said: “We wish them a speedy recovery.
“Thank you to all agencies and the public for their assistance.”
The police have been contacted for further information.
