VOLUNTEERS who care for Sunny Corner by the Truro river have been gifted cosy bodywarmers by a keen supporter.

Kevin Tregunna, owner of funeral director LJ Tregunna, presented branded gilets to members of the Friends of Sunny Corner, who turn up every week to maintain the area near Boscawen Park. Group chairman Paul Caruana handed Kevin a Certificate of Appreciation in return.

“We are delighted LJ Tregunna has seen fit to sponsor us,” he said. “As a self-funding group, we would struggle to equip ourselves to be able to undertake the work we do without the support of various local businesses.

“Kevin has been involved practically in many ways - he made our recycling unit, resulting in tons of items being delivered to the recycling centre.”
