Tregonissey A went joint top of the Victory League on Tuesday, January 6, with a fine 4-1 success at Luxulyan.

St Blazey B took three points at home to St Neot to rise to fourth in the table as Steve Courts and Darren Lock secured the away wins with Gavin Dyche, Josh Bristow and Clive Stuthridge claiming the home side’s frames.

Bethel D only picked up one point at home to Mevagissey A through Jason Pascoe with their opponents thoroughly deserving the win via Ben Prynn, Matt Chesterfield, Charlie Prynn and Matt Mills.

Bethel B took the first two frames at home to Gorran Haven through Mike Haley beating Lee McKinstry and Darren Biggens’ black ball defeat of Steve Williams, but the visitors turned it around with wins for Matt Fox who potted a fantastic pink ball to beat Craig Nicholls, Rob Bunney and Dan Pascoe to keep them very much in the promotion picture.

Lerryn got a fine 4-1 win at home to Tregonissey C to climb the table.

Mark Richards got the visitors off to a good start in beating Terry Middleton, but comfortable wins for John Hancock, David Vipond, Les Shakespeare and James Stephens got the home side their third win of the season.

Bugle rose to second in the table after a terrific 4-1 win at Tregonissey B.

Darren Roberts’ black ball win over Colin Rundle was the only home success with Roy Bayliss, Jake Moore, Dave Rundle and Keith Moore taking the away honours.
