NATIONAL League South outfit Truro City have announced that goalkeeper Aidan Stone has signed a new multi-year contract.

The 27-year-old gloveman will remain at the Truro City Stadium until 2029 after first moving to the Duchy ahead of last term.

Stafford born, Stone cut his formative footballing teeth with current EFL Championship side Burnley and has had subsequent spells in the professional ranks with Mansfield, Notts County and Port Vale.

Stone spent the second half of the 2024/25 season with Yeovil Town before joining City for their maiden National League campaign.

On the new deal, Stone said: “It was an easy decision to sign a new contract. There was some interest in the summer from various clubs, but Truro have demonstrated their faith in me by offering me a new deal.

“Truro is a good place to be around at the moment because you can see what the club wants to do in the future. That matches where I am at in my career because I have been at clubs where I have flickered in and out of the team.

“When I came here I really wanted to nail down the goalkeeper’s position and play regular football. The club have allowed me to that with a new deal but you only get there with hard work and performances. The goal in to maintain that and the boys have been brilliant so far this season.”
