EVAN Tresidder was back in the goals as Sticker staged an impressive second half recovery at Trevassack Park on Saturday to make it six wins in seven and to remain on top of the table.

Tresidder, the division’s top scorer now with nine, struck twice in five minutes to overturn Hayle’s lead given to them by Noah Tanner’s 33rd minute goal.

And just for good measure, skipper Connor Cooke popped up with his fourth goal of the season late on to make sure of the points.

Sticker manager Dan Nancarrow said: “It was a massive result for us against a difficult team to play against, and it was also pleasing that we came back from 1-0 down which shows the character of the team.

“We currently have six players out injured, including two big defensive players in Harvey Hann and Fin Nancarrow, so it was very pleasing that Harley Sims stepped up and gave a man-of-the-match performance.

“It was also good to have the addition of reserve team player Bailey Smith and under 18 Ben Allen in the squad.”

As good as Hayle were in the first half, Sticker were poor, but a half-time talking to from Hann and Luke Perks gave the players a boost as they improved significantly in the second half.

Nancarrow said:,”We have a real togetherness at the moment and it’s currently showing with the results we are getting.

“And what can I say about Evan Tresidder?! He has been first class since joining us, not just with his goals, but his attitude and work-rate have been superb.”
