WITH Falmouth Town having both of their home matches postponed last week, all eyes were on Mousehole as the other Cornish side in the Southern League Division One South.
During the week the club were paid a visit by HRH The Prince of Wales, Prince William, to officially open the new access road into Interiora Trungle Parc which he helped make possible.
On the pitch the Seagulls secured two draws, starting with a Tuesday night thriller at home to promotion-chasing Exmouth Town.
After an encouraging start from Mousehole, the Devonians led 14 minutes in via Jacob Shore.
Odds on a Town win increased when Julio Fresneda was sent-off on 25 minutes, but the Cornish side dug in and were rewarded 15 minutes from time with a long-range cracker from Kaleb Kadimashi.
Home fans were in delirium seven minutes late when Hayden Turner’s deflected shot found its way in, but Mike Landricombe levelled with a header many felt was offside.
While that clash was dramatic, Mousehole made the near 500-mile round trip to Didcot Town on Saturday and shared a 4-4 draw.
Didcot were in front via Cameron Mills after nine minutes following a defensive mistake, but by the 17th minute the Cornishmen were in front.
First, Tallan Mitchell scored on his 200th appearance, before in-form attacker Jack Symons made no mistake at the back post.
Mitchell then turned provider just after the half-hour mark when he sent Hayden Turner away to beat Leigh Bedwell in a one-on-one.
Home skipper Adam Learoyd pulled one back just before the break and within three minutes of the restart it was 3-3 thanks to Felix Robertson.
Turner’s second six minutes later put Mousehole in front again, but the 216 supporters inside the ground saw an eighth goal 15 minutes from time via Kian Larkins.
Mousehole host Shaftesbury this Saturday while Falmouth visit Westbury United.
