Comprehensive victories for high-flyers St Austell and Sticker

TOP of the table St Austell thrashed Millbrook on Saturday to extend their unbeaten run in the league to twelve games.

The hosts opened the scoring early on when Liam Eddy netted his 300th league goal.

Skipper Neil Slateford doubled the lead shortly after, before Ryan Richards got in on the act as the Lillywhites went into half-time with a three goal lead.

Josh Bragg headed a fourth goal 17 minutes into the second half, before Slateford was on the scoresheet again after converting from the spot with .

The Lillywhites currently sit six point clear at the submit as they prepare to welcome Wendron United to Poltair Park this Saturday (3pm).

High-flyers Sticker have now won eight of their opening nine league games after claiming victory over Launceston at the weekend.

The away side had started brightly and it was marginally against the run of play when Sam Eccleston rounded keeper Howie Evans and found the empty net to make it 1-0 to the Burngallow Park outfit.

Eli Evans soon doubled the lead before Cam Bidgood’s 38th minute goal looked to have sealed the points before half-time.

Dan Hocking then completed the scoring with a late effort to make it 5-1 to the home side.

Sticker can now look forward to hosting third placed Penzance on Saturday. The Magpies drew with Holsworthy 1-1 on Saturday.
