Cornish Pirates prop Jack Andrew has received a ban for a dangerous tackle against Ampthill last weekend.
The 32-year-old was cited after the Pirates’ 61-22 victory in Bedfordshire.
The player accepted the charge of a dangerous tackling contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13 and received a three-week ban.
The independent panel, made up of Jeremy Summers, Olly Kohn and Mitch Reed, gave permission for the Championship club to apply to participate in the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme (CIP).
If Andrew successfully completes this, he will not have to serve the third game of his ban and will be available for the fixture against Ealing Trailfinders on March 25.
However, he will definitely miss their games against Coventry at home this weekend and against London Scottish away next Saturday.
