THIS Saturday, I’m inviting you to join me for something a little different and something I’m genuinely excited about.
The first-ever ‘LoveTreloggan’ community event takes place this weekend, and it’s exactly what it sounds like, a chance for us to roll up our sleeves and show Treloggan some long overdue love.
Alongside fellow town councillors including Cllr Abigail Hubbucks, plus a brilliant volunteer team from Cormac, we’ll be weeding, strimming, trimming and sweeping our way through the area bringing a bit of pride and care back to a neighbourhood that, frankly, Cornwall Council has left behind for too long.
As your Cornwall councillor, I’m tired of hearing “there's no budget.” I’m working hard, and succeeding in securing new investment in local pathways and highways and that work continues but LoveTreloggan is my way of showing that I won't just wait.
I care about this community, and I want to prove it. Join us at Polwhele Road this Saturday between10am and 12.30pm. Come and help, or simply come for a chat over tea and biscuits. All tools and equipment are provided. Just bring yourself. Perfect for all ages. I hope to see you there.

After a fine weekend and start to the week, all change now. There will be north westerly winds and it will be colder towards the weekend.
Commercial fishing has been generally quiet. There has been the odd angling trip catching few pollock but no mackerel. All the boats on the quay will be back in the water by April 1 .
This Saturday, Blue Eyed Candy is playing at the Newquay Rowing Club at 9pm.
Thought for the Week: “Real education is seen in your behaviour.”
