THE world’s first robotic circus lion has taken to the stage in Newquay.
Ion the robotic lion has been performing at the Paulos Circus show at Dairyland Farm Park throughout the summer.

Paulos has come up with a technological solution to bringing an animal back to the circus, in what it describes as "the world's first and only robotic circus lion.”
Ion, which took 11 months to build, has become a core part of its show performing various circus tricks such as handstands and posing for selfies. The robot lion has also has established himself as a “bit of a daredevil” jumping through hoops and over fire.
The final show of the season in Newquay will be held on Monday, September 1 at 6pm.
