A WOMAN has died following a road traffic collision on the A390 near Chiverton Cross earlier this month.

Devon and Cornwall Police officers were called at around 1.45pm on Tuesday, November 18 to reports of a collision involving a yellow Fiat Panda and a black Nissan Qashqai on the stretch of road towards Truro. The road was closed for approximately four hours to allow a thorough examination of the scene and for recovery of the vehicles.

The drivers of both vehicles, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s, sustained significant injuries during the collision. Sadly, the local woman died in hospital; her next of kin are aware. The man remains in hospital.
