WILDLIFE enthusiasts were ‘all a flutter’ during a birdwatching trip to the Roseland Peninsula.
The Connect with Nature’s group had a successful birdwatching outing at Ruan Lanihorne.
They saw 16 species of bird, which included two Blackbird, nine Black headed Gull, five Buzzard, 200 plus Canada Geese and six Carrion Crow.
The group also spotted five Chaffinch, three Common Sandpiper, a Cormorant, six Curlew, two Dunnock, 800 plus Golden Plover, five Great Black-backed Gull, 20 Herring Gull, two House Sparrow and 100 plus Jackdaw.
Other bird species seen on the trip included a Jay, 23 Lapwing, three Little Egret, two Little Grebe, five Magpie, 12 Mallard, a Meadow Pipit, two Mute Swan, 13 Pheasant, two Raven, two Redshank, two Robin, 100 plus Rook, five Shelduck, a Snipe, three Stonechat, 100 plus Widgeon, 10 Woodpigeon and a Wren.
Rob Nicholls was the fieldtrip leader for the trip, which was organised by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, Founder and Chair of Connect with Nature, RSPB Kernow Group Leader, and Publicity Officer of Cornwall Birds.
