A village shop and post office in Grampound Road has found new owners.
Situated in a prominent corner position in the centre of Grampound Road, the Londis-branded convenience store and post office has been sold by former owners Andrew and Tina Bishop, who have run the store for the last seven years and now wish to retire.
Following the sale, Andrew and Tina Bishop said: “We are really pleased to have now completed on the sale of Grampound Road Londis & Post Office. It has been a pleasure running the store and assisting the local community however we feel the time is now right to pass on the reins to someone new. We would like to thank all our loyal customers over the years, who I know will be happy with the new owners.”
The store has been sold to new owners who plan to continue the store’s legacy with continuity for the local community.
The new owners of store said: “We are very much looking forward to working with the local community and assisting with all their convenience and post office needs. The business has been well established by the previous owners, and we look forward to continuing this legacy. We wish Andrew and Tina all the best for the future and thank Matthew McFarlane from Christie & Co for introducing us to the business.”
Matthew McFarlane, a business agent at Christie & Co who managed the sale, said: “It has been a pleasure assisting in the sale of Grampound Road. The store presented a fabulous opportunity for the new owners to continue its success. I wish Andrew and Tina well in their retirement and wish all the best to the new owners with their new venture.”
The sale was funded by Christie Finance.
