THE A30 was closed this morning [Monday, December 15] due to a vehicle fire.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called at around 10.45am this morning [Monday, December 15] following a report of a vehicle fire on the A30 near Zelah and Carland Cross.
The road was closed, while Cornwall Fire and Rescue crews from Truro and Perranporth attended, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. A police spokesperson said: “The occupant was able to safely exit the vehicle. The road closure was lifted by 12.30pm.”
The incident was handed over to the police to organise recovery of the vehicle.
