While the weather leading up to the event was not good, Friday was dry and calm. Turnout was impressive, with 48 teams taking part in the competition.
An evening auction managed by Ed Harris of Lodge and Thomas and raffle were both being extremely well supported, raising a significant amount of money for this year’s main cause - Children’s Hospice South West - and a smaller portion for other good causes.
President Julian Collinson thanked the golf club - in particular the head greenkeeper and his team for preparing the course in difficult conditions, and the kitchen team for providing excellent meals throughout the day – and all sponsors for their generous support.
