THE 2026 Truro Civic Awards will be presented at Truro Methodist Church on Friday (March 27) from 6pm.

A total of 31 awards will be given in four categories: ladies, gentlemen, groups and under 18s. All have been recognised for the voluntary work they do in their communities.

Public nominations were considered by the Truro Civic Awards committee, and their choices will be revealed at the ceremony presided over by city mayor Cllr Chris Wells and Truro Civic Society chairman Malcolm Bell, with Truro Civic Society secretary Cllr Bert Biscoe as emcee.

Event organiser Paul Caruana said: “I never fail to be amazed at some of the great work done by volunteers here in Truro. Without them, our city would be a poorer place.”

The ceremony begins at 5.45pm with a performance by the Shower to Stage choir. Members of the public are welcome to observe from the balcony.
