TREVIGLAS Academy's Year 11 students celebrated the end of their secondary school journey in unforgettable style at their prom.

Dressed in their finest frocks and smart suits the students made their grand arrivals in an array of vehicles including biker cavalcades, vintage classics cars, a tractor and sleek sports cars at the Oceanside Hotel in Headland Road.

Families, friends and members of the local community lined the entrance to cheer and give a round of applause to each arrival. The students enjoyed a meal before letting their hair down and dancing the night away at a disco.

Mrs Ford, Year 11 learning lead, said: "After months of dedication, resilience, and hard work, it was a real pleasure to see our Year 11 students celebrating together at prom.

“Seeing everyone happy, relaxed, and enjoying the evening was the perfect way to mark the end of their GCSE journey. I look forward to seeing everyone on results day and am especially excited to welcome many of our students back in September as they continue their journey in sixth form.”

Headteacher James Rogers said: "What an absolutely spectacular evening celebrating our incredible Year 11 students.

“Once again, this year's prom was a truly unforgettable occasion, and our students looked amazing. They conducted themselves with maturity, confidence and kindness throughout the evening, making themselves, their families and everyone at Treviglas Academy immensely proud.

“It was wonderful to see a proud community come together to celebrate these brilliant young people. This is Newquay at its absolute best."

A Treviglas Academy spokesperson added: “The evening was a fitting celebration of five years of hard work, friendship and achievement.

“The prom was a wonderful finale to the students' secondary school experience, filled with laughter, celebration and lasting memories as they looked ahead to the exciting opportunities that await them.”
