THE sixth form at Newquay’s biggest academy is celebrating its set of A-level results.
Sixty per cent of Newquay Tretherras sixth formers achieved A* to B grades and more than 25 per cent at A* to A.

Vocational results are “exceptional once again” and place Newquay Tretherras in the top 10 per cent of schools nationally with an average grade of distinction plus.

A spokesperson for Newquay Tretherras said: “There is so much to celebrate and shows that NT6 students more than hold their own nationally. Their future is bright.
“A* grades are notoriously difficult to achieve, yet Annie W, Rhiannon W, Owen P achieved these in every subject, a world class performance from these students.
“George C, Jackson L, Callum M, Daisy M, Zak S and Jenna V gained all A and A* grades across the board. Such an achievement.
“Sophie T; Reuben J; Eden H all achieved triple distinction* and our vocational PE saw nine students achieving the highest grade possible of triple distinction*, which is amazing.”
Headteacher, Gemma Harries said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our young people. They have worked incredibly hard and deserve every success.
“This Year 13 cohort have offered us a real sense of joy. They have worked hard, celebrated and supported each other, and should be proud of all they have achieved.
“At the end of their time at Newquay Tretherras, we wish the class of 2025 every success in life beyond NT and know they have successful and exciting futures ahead of them.”
