NEWQUAY scouts have been busy ‘beavering away’ at Newquay Library during a special visit.

Newquay Beavers and Squirrels explored the library in two sessions on Monday, July 14 where they made crafts, completed a library treasure hunt and had stories read to them.

The scouts had stories read to them during the visit ( )

The scouts also received a library card if they did not have one already and were able to take books home.

Library staff were also awarded special thank you badges at the end by the scouts.

Library and information assistant Kathy McGoldrick said: “It was an awesome visit. Everyone had lots of fun.

“The sessions especially reminded families that the library is a free space for everyone.”
