A man from Goonhavern has beaten the Guinness world record for fastest male marathon time in a fully inflatable costume.

Seb Burley, wearing a chicken suit completed the 26.2-mile London Marathon course in under four hours and 15 minutes on Sunday, April 26.

The 36-year-old has so far raised £2,132 for Action for Children, which protects and supports vulnerable children and young people.

Seb said: “The costume got incredibly hot and humid inside and there was nowhere for the heat and humidity to go.

“It was difficult to breath in, let alone run in.

“I wanted to help the charity because as a dad, it breaks my heart that there are 4.5 million children living in poverty in the UK, due to no fault of their own.”
