AN immersive gathering is being held in Newquay to help shape the future of the self-catering short term rental industry.
Host Planet Roadshow will be held at the Oceanside Hotel in Headland Road on Thursday, February 5.
The event is a curated, roundtable experience designed to bring collaboration, thought leadership and meaningful conversations for property managers, property owners, industry suppliers and key influencers to help move the short-term rental industry forwards.
Attendees will have access to knowledge sharing roundtables, 10-minute knowledge burst session and dedicated panels led by leaders within the self-catering industry. There will also be networking opportunities with politicians, trade bodies, media and major brands as well as post-event insights and impact report.
The Host Planet Roadshow includes a Cornwall-focused panel led by Andy Easton, the managing director of Beach Retreats, headline sponsor of the event, alongside Katie Warren, self-catering industry advocate, and Andy Fenner, chief executive of the Short Term Accommodation Association.
Mr Easton said: “We are excited to partner with Host Planet for their Cornwall event. At Beach Retreats, as one of the leading Cornwall self-catering holiday letting agencies, we are passionate about addressing the constant changes in the STR industry, but always in a positive and proactive way.
“This event gives us the vital opportunity to discuss impactful insights, learn from our peers and meet new people.”
James Varley, founder and CEO of Host Planet, said: “Cornwall is one of the most dynamic and important short-term rental markets in the UK, so bringing the Host Planet Roadshow here was a natural choice.
“The Roadshow is about creating meaningful, local conversations that move the industry forward – not talking at people, but bringing together operators, owners, suppliers, trade bodies, and policymakers around the same table.
“Partnering with Beach Retreats, a brand that truly understands the Cornwall market and the importance of proactive, responsible growth, allows us to deliver an event that’s both relevant and impactful for the local self-catering community.”
