A remembrance gathering is being held following the passing of a popular Newquay man.
An event to celebrate the life of Clive Bladen will be staged at the Killacourt on Sunday, June 29 between 1pm and 3pm.
Jason Tuck, the manager of The Crescent care home where Clive lived, said: “Bring a picnic, chat with someone you haven’t met before, and help spread some joy—just like Clive did every day.
“We’re hoping a few of the town’s buskers will join us to add to the spirit of the afternoon.”
Clive’s funeral will take place at Truro Crematorium on Monday, June 23 at 9am but there will be space for only 50 attendees due to the size of the chapel.
There has been an outpouring of sadness following the passing of Clive who has been a popular part of the community for many years.
A memorial has been set up where the 61-year-old liked to sit in Bank Street, which includes flowers, photographs, teddies and his favourite energy drink.
