Pupils evacuated from a Truro school due to 'security threat'

Pupils at Penair School in Truro have been evacuated following a ‘security threat’.

Parents of pupils all received messages this morning saying the school had received an anonymous phone call threatening the security of the school and as a result they were evacuating all children and staff to the astro turf.

They then said they had decided to implement their ‘snow closure procedures’ and so would be sending children home.

The messaged added: “Once again I can confirm that all children are safe, well and accounted for.”

The school said they would be providing a further update later.
