A POPULAR dance festival will be staged in Newquay for the fourth year running.

Dança Bonita SBK Festival will showcase various dances including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Semba at the Sandy Lodge Hotel between May 15 and 18. A beach party will be held at Great Western on May 17.

Organiser Hayley Newton said: “Dança Bonita is a vibrant, fun-filled weekend of dance.

“It brings together dancers from across the UK and beyond, all travelling to Newquay for a weekend of learning, dancing, socialising, and creating wonderful memories. It is also beginner friendly. New dancers are welcomed and catered for.

“International teachers, DJs, and dancers from all over the UK arrive in Newquay for a weekend of dance workshops and parties. Local dancers get to experience top-class artists and dancers without having to leave the county. We get to showcase everything that Cornwall has to offer.

“Dança Bonita enriches the Cornish dance scene and brings tourism and recognition to the local area, boosting the local economy and putting Cornwall on the UK dance map.

“For many of our guests, this is their first visit to Cornwall, and many say they can’t wait to visit again.”
