THE choir from Pool Academy made an unforgettable appearance at the Cornwall Youth Choir Jamboree in Falmouth this month.
The Pool Academy choir took to the stage at Princess Pavilion and delivered a stellar performance, singing three songs. Special recognition went to Amelia and Tally, who both delivered terrific solos that captivated the audience.
The evening’s highlight, however, was when the Pool students joined over 100 other singers from across Cornwall for two mass choir songs, creating a truly powerful and harmonious sound.
Another achievement came when three Pool students, Lillie-Anne, Evie, and Kaitlan, were selected to perform the main solos in the iconic song ‘For Good’ from the musical ‘Wicked’.
The choir’s performance at the Jamboree was not only a musical achievement but also an opportunity for personal growth, as the students navigated a different environment, demonstrating grace and professionalism beyond their years.
Nick Ward, principal at Pool Academy said: “Our choir truly shone at this incredible event. The dedication, talent, and hard work of our students were evident from start to finish. We are so proud of every student who participated, and we look forward to many more opportunities like this in the future.”
