POLICE are seeking assistance from the public to help identify the males pictured in connection with an assault and theft which took place in Penzance.

Officers received reports that on Thursday, August 10, two people attended a Sports Direct store in on Market Jew Street and stole several items. After leaving the store they attacked a member of staff in a park area nearby.

During the attack, the victim was punched and kicked in the face and ribs whilst on the floor. The victim suffered a broken nose and had two front teeth chipped as a result.

It is believed the men photographed may be able to assist with enquiries.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, October 22 we issued images of two other men we wanted to speak to in connection with the incident. However, following further enquiries the men are no longer sought.

“Since the incident was reported officers have explored numerous lines of investigation including house to house and detailed CCTV trawls.

“Anybody able to identify the men pictured as part of this appeal is asked to contact us via the website or by calling 101 quoting 50250207100. Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
