POLICE investigating a serious road traffic collision in Hayle at the weekend are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called at around 8.10am on Saturday, August 23, to a two-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the B3301 at Griggs Hill, Hayle.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “The incident involved a black BMW and a Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 motorcycle. The rider of the bike, a 52-year-old local man sustained potentially life-changing injuries as a result of the collision.

“The driver of the car was not injured.

“Police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance attended the scene, and the road was closed whilst an investigation took place.

“We would ask that if anyone has witnessed the collision or has any CCTV or dash cam footage, to contact us via our website or by calling 101, quoting log 201 of 23/8/25.”
