DEVON and Cornwall Police are paying it forward to the community of Helston by giving money seized from convicted criminals to support a local children’s craft club.
The neighbourhood police team recently awarded £500 of illegally earned cash to CAST (Cornubian Arts and Science Trust) to help build an artwork display area showing off the creations of attendees.
The free Saturday sessions bring together over 40 young people aged 11 to 16 from various backgrounds.
“Not only is the club a place that encourages young people to be creative, but it also supports them in growing their social skills and self-confidence,” said PCSO Julia Berry, who works across Helston.
“I’m pleased we were able to support this fantastic club and the work they do with young people in Helston."
