PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.

HESSENFORD: An upcoming road closure in Hessenford has been confirmed by Cornwall Council.

It will affect Church Hill and the closure will be from August 17 to September 21.

The lengthy closure will be in place to enable wall repairs to take place.

The road impacted is Church Hill in Hessenford between the property known as Guilder Cottage and the junction with Bake Lane.

An alternative route will be signposted on site and there will be a maintained access to properties in the area of the closure for vehicles and pedestrians.

LISKEARD: Multiple roads in Liskeard are set to be closed overnight in early September.

These affect the following stretches of road: The road from Culverland Road to the A390 between Merrymeet Farm and Callington Road, the A390 between Callington Road and South West of Hill Farm and the A390 between South West of Hill Farm and the South West of Trebeigh in Liskeard.

The closures will be in place between 9pm and 6am.

Cornwall Council say that the closure is necessary to enable safety for the access of a joint box and gully clearing works in the area.

An alternative route will be signposted on the site while access to pedestrians and vehicles to properties will be maintained.

ST DAY: Pink Moors in St Day is set to be closed between September 1 and September 7.

This is to allow fire hydrant installation works to be undertaken.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The stretch of road affected is Pink Moors, St Day between the junction of Vogue and grid reference SW 72513 42471. An alternative route will be signed on site.

Pedestrian and Vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

CAMBORNE: Mitchell Lane in Camborne is set to be closed between September 3 and September 4.

The prohibition on traffic is necessary for defect repair works and will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.
